TPS65987D: How to force to boot from SPI flash?

Hi all,

I have a question following my previous here https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/886447/tps65987d-hreset-does-not-affect-reading-of-spi-memory

Our use case where we need it is following:

  • we update the settings in SPI flash
  • after update we activate the HRESET

But the TPS65987D starts with previous settings from SRAM but not with just programmed settings from SPI flash

As was cleared in that old forum thread the TPS65987 "will not boot from SPI flash if it finds valid patch bundle on SRAM". But do we have any way to force to boot from SPI flash? May be exists any way to invalidate this patch bundle before executing system reset?
