What's rule of compatibility between serializer and deserializer?

    Hi Tom,

     

    The DS90UB941AS-Q1 datasheet specifies that it is compatible with the DS90UB940N-Q1, DS90UB948-Q1, DS90UB924-Q1, DS90UB926Q-Q1 or DS90UB928Q-Q1 deserializers. As the DS90UB941AS-Q1 is designed for IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment), the corresponding deserializers are also centered around IVI. The DS90UB954-Q1 deserializer is designed for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Section 7.1 of the 954-Q1 datasheet states that it should be coupled with an ADAS serializer (i.e., DS90UB953-Q1, DS90UB933 or DS90UB913A).

     

    Both the serializer and the deserializer should be in the same family (ADAS or IVI). If both the serializer and deserializer are in the same family and you are further unsure, check the cover page of the data sheet and the detailed description.
