DS125DF410: Eye diagram data concatenation and EOM centering

Part Number: DS125DF410

We inspected the exported data from SigCon of the following eye diagram:

We noticed that the horizontal data length of the exported data is 128, twice the normal length of 64. It seems to us that SigCon just concatenates two identical sets of data to form the eye diagram. Our question is: How can we be sure that the original set of data of horizontal length of 64 represents 100% of the UI ?

In addition, is there a way to adjust the phase so that the eye can be centered in the original data set?

Thanks.

  • Hi Child,

I believe that it is inherent to the design of the eye monitor that it captures 1 UI.  This would be dependent on the device having CDR lock, but once this is established, I would expect the eye monitor to capture the full UI.

I am not aware of any way to adjust the phase of the eye monitor data.

    Thanks,
    Drew
