Hi Experts,
Our customer is asking what high-speed MUX TI offer that can support muxing of a general purpose input and at least three selectable output channels.
Devices that include some form of redriver/signal quality improvement are preferred. Passive devices are fine as well.
His project needs to flexibly route 8x SERDES outputs of an FPGA to either an SDI connector or a DP connector or a ARINC transceiver using the needed MUX.
I ask the customer if his application is something like the image below:
He confirmed that yes, they will need a DEMUX 1:3 for the SERDES outputs.
Find attached a very basic diagram that shows the SERDES outputs application.
For the input SERDES its just the other way round. They will need a MUX 3:1.
SDI maximum bandwidth will be 12Gbps, DisplayPort will be 8.1GBPs and A818 will be 10Gbps. So the highest bandwidth that needs to be supported will be 12Gbps differential signals.
Can you help us suggest a part that can match his application? Thank you.
