Hi team,

My customer is trying to use DP83TG720S-Q1.

They would like to set the test mode by using the strap pin. (Indicated in 7.5.1 in the datasheet)

They want to know how to use the table from table7-7 to table7-20 to set it into a specific mode.

Could you kindly give an example of how to set the device into a particular Test Mode?

And quick explaination about it.

Hi Ohashi,

These test modes cannot be set using straps. To set the device into a test mode, write the register address specified in the table to the given value.

My customer said that they were able to move into the test mode by the strap configuration with DP83TC811R-Q1.

So, just to confirm,

DP83TC811R-Q1 has the function to move into the test move using strap

but DP83TG720S-Q1 doesn't have that kind of function

Is this understanding correct?
