DS90UB960-Q1: Deserializer - Lock detection signal on GPIO

Hi,

I am using the ds90ub960 deserializer chip.
I have a doubt regarding the register GPIO1_PIN_CTL.

I want to configure GPIO1 so that it gets the lock indication status. I have configured register 0x11 = 0x85.

Will GPIO1 gives me a signal if there is a change in lock status (locked/not-locked) ? Or I get a signal only when lock is detected?

Can you tell me which SER are you using? Also, I would like to know to which Rx Port is the SER connected on the DES?

We are using serializer ds90ub953. The serializer is connected to the RX1 port of deserializer.

Hello Blessy,

you should write the following register on the DES to get RX Port1 LOCK on GPIO1:

reg 0x0F[1]=0

reg 0x11=0x85

Hi Hamzeh,

Yes, I am clear on the configuration. My question was, with the above configuration will GPIO1 give a high signal on lock or will it give HIGH on lock change?

Right now, I see that the signal comes for lock change i.e I get an interrupt when the lock is established, also when the lock is gone.

Hello Blessy,

this configuration will give the current LOCK status for the configured Rx Port. So, it should be high for LOCK and low for unLOCK.
