TUSB1104: Enabling USB 3.2 Gen 2 x2 (20Gbps) not working

Hi TI,

We are able to detect 10Gbps using the TUSB1104 when unpaired the USB pair signals from PCH via BIOS (Alderlake -S).

But we are not able obtain 20Gbps when USB signals are paired. (even 10Gbps is not detected). Could you advise on how to enable 20Gbps?

What is being connected at the Type-C connector? Is it a device that is capable of USB3.2 x 2 as well?

Do you have a USB protocol analyzer log file that can help debugging this issue?

Can you please probe the termination on TX1/2 and RX1/2 on both sides of TUSB1104? When TUSB1104 powers up and sees termination on both TX1/RX1 and TX2/RX2, it will be in USB3.2 Gen 2 x 2 mode with CONFIG/Non-CONFIG lane determined by the FLIP driven by the PD controller.

Once in USB3.2 x 2 mode, and if there is no activity on the non-config lane. the TUSB1104 will disable it to save power which then becomes USB3.2 Gen 2 x 1 mode.
