On the datasheet of TMDS1204 and TDP1204, "Optimized for HDMI sink applications" is written. What is the function of it?

For TDP1204 it is written on p. 1 that this device is Optimized for HDMI source applications.

The TMDS1204 is optimized for HDMI sink applications since it intended to be the sink side redriver and has extra features to make it useful for the sink side applications.

For example, in some cases, the FRL 3 Lane could be required to fan out its clock CLK to meet the demands of the sink side FPGA making the TDMS1204 option optimized for the sink side application.
