Hi,Teams
Please let me know the following information.
Is it possible to convert HDMI signals to DVI signals on the TMDS171 itself?
The source connected to the front of the TMDS171 can only produce HDMI signals.
If it is possible to convert, could you tell us how to set it up?
Best regards.

HDMI electrically is the same as DVI, so there is no special configuration needed for TMDS171 to convert from TMDS to DVI.
Thanks
David
Hi, David
Thanks for your reply.
We want to convert Protocol between HDMI and DVI signals.
Is it possible to convert Protocol?

My understanding is that the video format is the same between HDMI and DVI with the exception that HDMI supports audio but DVI does not.
Thanks
David
Hi, David
Thanks for your reply.
As you say, the video format is the same.
In addition to the video format, I want to disable InfoFrame, etc., which uses data lanes to send resolution information and other information from the source device to the sink device.
Can the TMDS171 only control the electrical part of the HDMI signal?
Best regards
Maru

Correct, TMDS171 is a re-timer only and can only provide signal compensation or the electrical part of the HDMI signal. It has no way to control the HDMI protocol.
Thanks
David
Hi David.
Thanks for your reply.
I will use it as a retimer for the HDMI signal.
Thanks for all the advice.
Best regards.
