Hi,

TIDA-01171 used SN65HVD96 related circuit to implement the receiver of RS485. 

Its purpose what I understand is shown below: 

This can be challenging for links that use low data rates or for protocols that allow the link to remain at a constant level for long periods of time (because of the transmission of consecutive identical bits or the idle periods between data frames).

Do we need the receiver to deal with this situation?

I was wondering if the fail-safe feature of SN65HVD3088E can handle this so that we can only use SN65HVD3088E with AC-coupled capacitors to communicate with other RS485 devices.
