Hi

From the datasheet SNLS484G section 8.5.4 "PHY Address Configuration" the Figure 8-15 IRPAP PHY Address Strapping Example specifies a pulldown resistor of 2.49k on RX_D4 will result in mode 4.

However, Table 8-3. 4-Level Strap Resistor Ratios specifies the 2.49k resistor to be a pull-up, not a pulldown resistor.

Is it the table or the figure that is correct? If the table is correct, I would suspect a pulldown resistor of 2.49k and no pullup resistor to result in mode 1, not 4.

Please advise.

    Hi Lars,

    Unfortunately this is a typo. The voltage of this pin upon strapping will be 0V and will be mode 1. The pin should've actually been PU. Thank you for bringing this up to our attention. We will look to correct this for next revision.
