HD3SS3411: DS Update ...? complementarity

Part Number: HD3SS3411
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX1511

Guys, three years later the datasheet is still not updated. I stumbled over the same tsw typo.

But a related question: I wanted to mux two 120°-shifted sinewaves i.e. the signals are not exactly complementary.

Which difference would that make, if any?

  • There is switching delay, what is your datarate?

    Sorry for the datasheet issue.

    Regards

    Brian

  • My data rate is as high as I can get... but minimum is around 20 Mbps.

Context: I do a kind of BPSK where the carrier frequency is several hundred MHz, close to a GHz.

Strangely there is this tradeoff between bandwidth and switching time.

I understood there is a diversity of internal architectures though from the outside they are all analog switches.

It seems the best I can get is the TMUX1511.

The specific question was about the common-mode aspect, because my two signals are not differential (I use a 3-phase system, the third phase is not switched). I'd guess that this detail ought not be relevant, but I better ask.

    Situation clear enough?

  • HD33SS411 is designed for differential signal, may have issue sometimes for single ended.
