Hello,
I am integrating 10 port USB hub into a design. I came by TIDA-00287 reference design, however, I was wondering if there is any chip to provide 10 port USB hub. I need to connect 10 USB storage devices (around 32 GB) for data transfer in sequence. Therefore, I wish help could be provided. I don't want any manual switching as all USB devices must be recognized at the same time on the PC.
All help is appreciated.
A hub with that many ports must be created by combining multiple smaller hubs.
The largest hubs made by TI are the TUSB804x with four ports.
Thanks Clemens for your response. This came by my.mind. I just couldn't find a reference showing how to scale it up using 2 ports or 4 ports into more ports as you suggested.
The USB specification limits the total chain length to 7, i.e., to at most 5 hubs in series. So connecting them in parallel might be the better option.
