TUSB8020B Two port usb hub

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB8020B

I have some basic questions -

I need really simple USB hub. I have two devices and I want to read from both through one USB.

I found TUSB8020B  but I have USB 2.0 connectors. The only thing I have to do is to connect all 4 pins to USB 2.0, other pins I leave opened? I do not need external clock, so I cal leave XI and Xo opened?

Is it possible that TUSB8020B  work only with 3.3V without 1.1V?

  • Hi Marc,

The TUSB8020B requires an external clock supply, so you will need to populate a crystal or an oscillator for XI / XO.  The TUSB8020B requires both 3.3V and 1.1V power rails to function.  You can leave the unused USB 3.0 ports open.
