DS90UB953-Q1: How to determine the time from power on till valid image

Part Number: DS90UB953-Q1

Hi Team,

One of my customers are using DS90UB953-Q1 and having one question. Customers want to figure out how long the valid image signal is coming out from Vout+ since the POC supply is on. So the test the waveform of

POC supply and Vout+ as the following figure. But they cannot figure out the exact point of the valid image signal. From the power on sequence on datasheet it is also not very clear when the valid image is sent from Vout+.

Do we have some criteria/sign when the valid image is sent out form Vout+ so that customers can measure the waveform and determine the time they want to measure?

Any signal turns high/low that indicates the Vout+ signal is valid ?

Regard,

Manu

  • Manu,

When the 953 is powered on, DOUT will start toggling with forward channel data at which point you will begin seeing a scrambled data pattern with a maximum frequency of 2GHz. It is difficult to see from your scope shot, but you would basically want to look for the point at which you start seeing a high frequency toggling pattern with minimum bit width of 250ps

    Best Regards,

    Casey
