DP83867IR: Pull up value

Hi Team,

I found that this device MDC pin has an internal pull-down of 9k ohms. If I place an external pull-up in MDC, what would happen?

Just wanted to understand why there is a 9k pull-down on MDC pin ?

The customer is planning for a custom design.

I saw the value for the pull down in the thread below:

Hi Marvin,

Thank you for your response.

MDC default pin function state is I, PD (Input and pull-down).

MDC is driven by MAC/controller side and most likely they will not need a pull-up (we have never seen a controller with such requirement). But if required customer can confirm with MAC side once.
