Hi TI E2E,
Two questions related to the DS160PR410:
1) How should unused PCIe inputs on the DS160PR410 be handled? Left floating? Connected to ground? Connected some other way?
2) Is an IBIS-AMI model available for this IC?
Sincerely,
Hal
Hi Harold,
1. Please connect un-used inputs and outputs through a 220 nF Cap and 50 Ohm to GND.
2. IBIS-AMI model is available on mysecure on TI.com. If you don't have permission to access this secure folder please let us know so we can provide you access.
Regards,
Vicente
Hi Vicente,
Thanks for getting back to me with this information.
Would you please be more specific (preferably show an example circuit diagram) for handling these unused inputs and outputs. Are the cap and resistor in series or in parallel between the IC pin and GND?
Regarding accessing this IBIS-AMI model, I have a myTI account that I log in to but I'm not familiar with mysecure. Please provide instructions for accessing this model.
Sincerely,
Hal
Yes the Cap is in series with the resistor which is connected to GND.
,
On TI.com, after signing in you will click on your username and find a "secure resources folder" which is where the IBIS-AMI model will be located. But before this, we must first provide access to your account.
Regards,
Vicente
Hi Vicente,
Thanks for clarifying the component connections.
As for accessing this model, how will I know when my account has been provided access to this content?
Hi Harold,
Please submit a request for the IBIS-AMI model (and supporting documentation) at the link below:
https://www.ti.com/drr/opn/DS160PR410-DESIGN
This can be accessed from the DS160PR410 product page here:
Best,
David
Hi David,
Thanks for providing this information and that link. I've submitted a request for this model.
Sincerely,
Hal
Hi Harold,
Just want to confirm if you were able to access the models before I mark this case as closed?
Regards,
Vicente
HI Vicente,
I've left this case open because I have not yet received access to this model. I submitted a request last week as per the instructions above but have not yet heard back.
