My customer wants to select a CAN controller. In addition to TCAN4550, do we have any other CAN controllers?

Hi Nainzeng,

In addition to TCAN4550, the other IC with a CAN controller is the TCAN4451. The TCAN4551 is also a SBC (System Basis Chip) like the TCAN4550.

Hi Nison,

The only standalone CAN controllers not included in a microcontroller that TI currently has are the TCAN4550, TCAN4550-Q1, and the TCAN4551-Q1.

The TCAN4551-Q1 is an SBC that has a reduced feature set compared to the TCAN4550-Q1 and it does not have the 5V LDO output or the Watchdog. However, it does offer support for 1.8V logic levels compared to the TCAN4550 devices that only support 3.3V or 5V logic levels.
