TSER953: About per CSI-2 lane when CSI-2 uses 2 lanes

Part Number: TSER953

Hi Support Team,

Can you please tell me how to calculate per CSI-2 lane when CSI-2 uses 2 lanes?

The conditions are as follows
MODE:Non-Synchronous external clock
DIVIDE:CLKIN_DIV = b000
REF FREQUENCY(f):25MHz

Best regards,

  • Hello Takahiro-san,

this is calculated based on the CSI CLK coming from the Image sensor, which is 2x the CSI clk.

  • Hi Support Team,

    Thank you for your response.

I am sorry for the way I communicated.
I am concerned about Mipi data rate (per CSI-2 lane).

Can you please check if TSER953 can accept 2lane signal with MIPI DATA RATE=800Mbps under the following conditions.

I am assuming that the TSER953 can accept the MIPI CSI-2 bandwidth of 1600Mbps, is this correct?

    From Table 7-7, Clocking Modes.

    -MODE:Non-Synchronous external clock
    -DIVIDE:CLKIN_DIV = b000
    -REF FREQUENCY(f):25MHz
    -CSI BANDWIDTH:1600Mbps

    Best regards,

  • Hello,

the TSER953 can support 4 CSI-2 lanes at 832Mbps/lane. So, the total throughput is 3.28Gbps. And with 2 lanes configurations can support up to 1662Mbps.

    With your above-mentioned settings, your REF frequency is 25MHz. The CSI bandwidth = f x 80 = 25 x 80 = 2Gbps. So, yes. your setup can support up to 1600Mbps using 2 CSI-2 lanes.
