TCAN1146-Q1: TCAN1146-Q1

Part Number: TCAN1146-Q1

I am using an TCAN1146-Q1 in our design. In that the by using INH/LIMP Pin i need to control a EN of a PMIC, but in the initial power-up sequence we are giving 12V to the VSUP pin, So the INH/LIMP pin is also getting the same 12V.

  • Is there any possible way to control INH/LIMP pin in the power up sequence?

  • Since the INH/LIMP is getting Enabled while initial power up how we will be able to control it in the initial power up?
  • Hi Delish,

I've assigned this to one of our experts. Please allow us some time to get to this since this is thankgiving week, I expect he will get back to you by next week.

  • Delish,

If by control you mean the ramp rate, voltage level, or the fact that it gets enabled at all, no, there isn't a way to control this on initial power-up. After power up there are some configuration options for the INH/LIMP output, but this has to be configured afterwards. The device will always power up into Standby mode first, enabling INH. The device can then be transitioned to Sleep mode where it is disabled, but it will always first come up to VSUP minus a diode drop.

Please let me know if I understood the questions, or if you meant something else.

    Regards,

    Eric Hackett
