Dear Team,

I am using DS90UB960WRTDRQ1 in my application.

This is for ADAS application.

DS90UB960WRTDRQ1 is interfaced with SC206E smart module from Quectel.

Could you please review this schematic.

May I know what is "Channel Monitor Loop-Through Output Driver".Can you please provide some simple explanation.

CMLOUT functionality is described in section 7.4.8 of the datasheet. It is an optional diagnostic feature which can be used to monitor for gross issues with the received FPD-Link forward channel signal from the serializer. It provides a monitoring point for a high speed scope to observe the forward channel eye diagram with the back channel signal removed.

So I need to remove common mode choke from CSI-2 port 0 and CSI-2 port 1.

I have one more question.

My smart module supports only CSI-1.

May I know DS90UB960-Q1 is backward compatible.

Can I interface DS90UB960-Q1 with SC206E.

Hari,

DS90UB960-Q1 is only compatible with CSI-2. I'm not sure where you are seeing that the SC206E only supports CSI-1

Hi Casey,

I received the information from Quectel application engineering team that SC206E only supports CSI-1.

No specification about CS-1 or CSI-2

I will recheck with them.

Hari,

It seems more likely to me that this module supports CSI-2 as CSI-1 is an older legacy protocol at this point. But you will need to confirm with the Quectel team since we do not have information on that from the TI side

Hi Casey,

Finally I got the below statements from Quectel R&D Team.

"Just R&D team replied back, SC206E supports CSI-2 (but PHY is C-Phy 1.0)"

I think now I can go ahead with DS90UB960-Q1.

Kindly confirm.

Hari,

The DS90UB960-Q1 supports D-PHY, not C-PHY. Can you please check that the SC206E can support D-PHY? Most modules that support CPHY can also support DPHY.
