The customer wants to design this device of ISO 11898-2:2023 version on their board before June 2024, so please check the expected schedule and let me know.

    Hi Jeffrey,

    The 2023 version of the ISO 11898-2 standard is still in review and has not been published. From what I have heard, voting on the new document will complete by the end of January 2024 (so the standard name will likely be updated to 2024 as well). The current version of TCAN1462 was designed to be compliant with the CiA 601-4 CAN SIC specification which has been available since 2021. Because this device was designed before the updated ISO document was published, it will not meet all of the requirements listed it the 2023/2024 release. 

    We are currently working on an updated version of our CAN SIC portfolio that will meet all of the requirements of the latest ISO document which includes SIC characteristics and we are expecting to be able to provide samples of the new TCAN1462 equivalent by your deadline of June this year. Please keep in contact with our marketing team for updates on scheduling for samples and production.
