In my design, I have three PCIe entity interconnected: this PCIe ports works with different configurations.
The system sets the configuration only at the power up. At each power up, the PCIe ports can be interconnected in Config 1 or 2 (see attached).
To implement this function, I’ll use the TS2PCIE412. The next slides show the TS2PCIE412 interconnection in the two different Config.
Do you think that this solution work correctly?

1: for decoupling caps, you need 1uf and 10uf at LDO output and 0.1uf of each supply close to DUT during layout.
2:Typically we recommend terminating unused channels with a 50ohm or equivalent matching resistor to ground when you start getting into higher frequencies over 1Ghz, PCIe Gen 1 is 1.25Ghz.
I said "should" before is because BW of this device is 2.1Ghz, not too much merging for this application PCIe Gen1 is 1.25Ghz. Normally we recommend BW is at least 2X of the application.

Thank you for the suggestions about the decoupling caps andd terminations.
I've understood why to say "should" but I don't undestand why this component is suggested for Gen2 PCIe that works at 5 GHz.
The typical BW is 2.1 Ghz but there isn't info about the max and the min BW.
Could you explain this?
Do you know a TI component with the same features and that works correctly with PCIe Gen 1?

You may be confused with data rate and frequency. PCIe 2.5Gbps is PCIe Gen1 which is equivalent to 1.25Ghz, not 5Ghz
TS2PCIE412 is the right part for PCIe gen 1 application.
