Hello
If two connected SN65MLVD204A both become DE=Hi, (If data collides) Can SN65MLVD204A malfunction?
D=H.L Will it malfunction if different values are output?

Hello,
If two devices on a bus attempt to drive the signal, contention issues can arise. Bus contention appears when a bus device wants to drive a signal high, while another bus device is driving low. If these devices send and receive data at the same time, a short circuit may occur if one is driving high to logic '1' (say to the supply voltage) and the other is driving low to logic '0' (say to ground). In the case of a short circuit, the device is rated to an absolute maximum of 24 mA (see datasheet Figure 4, Figure 16). Contention issues may cause device damage or data loss of this exceeds the I(os) parameter.
