Hello,

I have the same question someone asked 10 years ago in this post: https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/332158/display-port-2-1-mux-to-select-aux-or-ddc.

Is there an update? Do you have a device to multiplex AUX / DDC on a combinded DP/HDMI interface? In my usecase I would like to connect the DP-AUX signals 1:1 while the HDMI-I2C signals get level shifted. I have seen this functionality within many DP/HDMI switch ICs, however I would like to have an IC with only this block and without the rest of the switching. Is there an update?

TheTMUX136, TMUX121, TMUX1072, TMUX154E seem like options for 2:1 DP-AUX muxes to me. Up to which DP specification (1.1 to 2.1) can you confirm that they support the required AUX transfer rates? For DP 1.2 fast mode that would be 720 Mbps for example.

TS3USBCA4 is type-C mux to support DisplayPort AUX.

Is this type-C application?

No it is not a type-c application.

What I need is an IC to MUX the AUX / I2C signals of a combined DP/HDMI interface. I think the 2:1 muxes I suggested in my first reply could be suitable however I am unsure if they can manage the DP-AUX transfer rates.

To clarify I need an IC for the grey block in the diagram, as the signals only need level shifting in case a HDMI part is connected. DP shall be routed straight through.

Normal DP-AUX is 1.2Mb/s, but fast AUX is 720Mb/s which about 360Mhz, TS3USB221E BW is 1Ghz, it should have enough bandwidth to cover it.
