Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB1044
HI
We are planning to use TUSB1104 redriver for type c. We are planning to support 20Gbps speed over type c.
So kindly let us know if this can support 20Gbps speed or not.

Hi,
Do you want 20Gbps per lane or total data throughput? The TUSB1104 is a 10 Gbps USB 3.2 x2 linear re-driver for USB-C applications enabling up to 20 Gbps total data throughput (10Gbps x 2).
Thanks
David
HI
We are supporting display mode functionality over the type c also.
So kindly us know if we need to use TUSB1104 or TUSB1044
Also tell the difference between these two parts
Hi,
Do you have a block diagram you can share?
The TUSB1104 is a 10 Gbps USB 3.2 x2 linear redriver for USB-C applications enabling up to 20 Gbps total data throughput. The TUSB1104 is intended to reside between a Host and a USB-C receptacle or between a USB device and a USB-C receptacle. The TUSB1104 supports both USB 3.2 Gen2 (10 Gbps) and Gen1 (5 Gbps) as well as USB 3.2 low power states (Disconnect, U1, U2, and U3). It supports USB 3.2 x 2 only, and does not support DisplayPort Alt Mode.
The TUSB1044 is a USB Type-C Alt Mode redriver switch supporting data rates up to 10Gbps (USB3.2 x 1). This protocol-agnostic linear redriver is capable of supporting USB Type-C Alt Mode interfaces including DisplayPort.
So do you need a solution that supports both USB 3.2 x 2 and DisplayPort or USB3.2 x 1 and DisplayPort? Do you also have an integrated USB and DP source or separate USB and DP source?
Thanks
David
