TPD1E01B04: Can TPD1E01B04 be used for USB3.2 Gen1(5Gbps) ?

Hello guys,

One of my customers is looking for ESD protection IC for TX+, TX-, RX+, RX signal line of both, USB3.2 Gen1(5Gbps) and USB3.2 Gen2(10Gbps).

Also they need small size package around 1.0x0.6mm dimensions.
So I chose TPD1E01B04.

But I couldn't find TPD1E01B04 on page 7 of the following application note.

Can TPD1E01B04 be used for USB3.2 Gen1(5Gbps) without any problem?

Hi Kazuya,

Yes TPD1E01B04 can be used for the USB versions you mentioned as long as the data lines operate at or below 3.6V.

This is actually one of our lowest capacitance devices, it can support signal speeds up to 20Gbps with minimal attenuation of the protected signal.
