Hello,
I am working on the project where LVDS splitter LMK1D1216 output is connected MLVDS( device unknown for now) receiver. For example if i take SN65MLVD203B as a MLVDS receiver may i know the differential input range for the device?
For LMK1D1216 i believe it is from 0.15V to 1.2V
Hello Chetan,
Page 4 of the datasheet (SN65MLVD203B Full-Duplex Type-1 Multipoint-LVDS Transceiver With IEC ESD Protection datasheet (Rev. B)) lists the "Magnitude of differential input voltage" with a maximum value of Vcc.
To understand this, see Table 7-1. Type-1 Receiver Input Threshold Test Voltages on page 12 of the datasheet.
Thank you, Amy
I have gone through these data but failed to understand it clearly. It means MLVDS can take differential input voltage low as -2.4 up till +2.4V?
Hi Chetan,
No problem, hopefully I can help clarify further:
Voltage at any bus terminal VA, VB, VY or VZ under recommended operating conditions is –1.4 (min) to 3.8 (max). [datasheet pg. 4 under "6.3 Recommended Operating Conditions"]
Regards, Amy
