Tool/software:
We are using the THVD1424 RS-485 receiver in the design and hence please share the Altium design files for the THVD1424EVM Evaluation Module for maintaining the same layout structure into our design and minimize the layout design activity!
Hi Harsha,
THVD1424_design_files.zip - most files
INT191A(001)_Sch.PDF - schem. with DNP elements shown
I have attached our design files for this board - but I do have a few notes:
1. Our EVM uses a 4 layer board (signal - GND - VCC - signal/Earth) - you don't need to use 4-layer boards for this device but this specific design uses 4-layers.
2. Common mode connections (J9 - J11 and J18-J20) are not required or even suggested for actual board use cases - they exist on the EVM to test the effects of common mode voltages (due to ground potential shifts) by applying a common mode signal to the jumpers - these are not going to be used for actual application.
3. This device does have an integrated termination resistor so the external pad for a termination resistor isn't needed in application (we have a pad their for testing reasons on the EVM).
You can use the same layout exactly, but it will most likely be more costly if you include everything as to why I am bringing up those three notes.
Best,
Parker Dodson
