We have some question about the PCIe5 redriver products, such as DS320PR810 and DS320PR1601. We want to know what is the maximum cable length that DS320PR810 can support, 0.5m or more? Can you help confirm it?

    Hi Lumina,

    Different cables have different insertion loss and electromagnetic characteristics and it's difficult to say what is longest cable length that the DS320PR810 could support. It's important to run simulations or conduct experiments with the specific cable model and length to evaluate how much signal quality margin can be achieved. The only comments I can offer from my personal experience is that we have been able to achieve Gen 5 linkup with certain 0.5 meter and 1.0 meter cables, under test conditions.
