Hi 

we have used this part for a HDMI 2.1 Port ,

as per the Data sheet chip Supports HDMI1.3, HDMI1.4, and HDMI2.0

based on the pins available it seems like i can use it for 2.1 as well 

Please help to understand why this chip may not support 2.1 if it is so 

Or is it related to certification requirements ? for HDMI2.1 ?

    Agxin,

    The part was only verified to support HDMI 2.0, so we cannot guarantee that it will pass all HDMI2.1 requirements.

    The 5V regulator is not specified to meet the system requirements and the VIL requirement on the DDC level shifter input is exceptionally difficult to meet.
