TDP142: about AC coupling of AUX

Part Number: TDP142

Tool/software:

Hi David,

In a related thread, I understood that the TDP142 AUX signal has AC coupling on the Sink and Source sides.

1) If the TDP142 circuit is installed on the Source side,

if the Source side is turned off and the Sink side is turned on,

there is a concern that the voltage pulled up on the Sink side will be input to the TDP142 and leak current will flow to the Source side.

Is this a problem?

In fact, since it is pulled up at 100 kΩ,

protection diode will not cause Vcc+0.5 V (Vcc=0 V), but just in case.

2) If both Source and Sink implement TDP142, TDP142 will be DC coupled, but is there any problem?

Best Regards,

Ryusuke
