Simple explanation:
I have a 258.3 MHz fiber optic signal. This signal is 8b/10b encoding of RAW8 video, in a 1640 by 525 format. It is running at 60 Hz field rate interlaced, so 30 Hz frame rate. The video uses 3 control signals: K28.5 for a new line, K28.1 to set to even lines, and K28.2 to set to odd lines. Switching from K28.1 to K28.2 moves to the next frame. A decoder IC can convert the data into 8-bit parallel data at 25.83 MHz, with 2 control signals: 1 for K28 characters, 1 for errors.
Is there any IC to convert this video feed into MIPI CSI-2? And, if so, can another IC convert the video from MIPI DSI back to RAW8?
My current theory is to convert the data from 8b/10b to 8-bit parallel, send that through an FPGA, then send that through the SN65LVDS315. The problem comes in with the interlaced video feed, which I do not know if it is supported through the SN65LVDS315. Any suggestions for parts that would work?
