SN65DSI83-Q1: how to recovery auto when error detect at the MIPI-DSI input

Hi,

After the short has been removed, can you please do the following two steps?

• Clear and then set the PLL_EN bit,
• Set the SOFT_RESET bit 

Are you able to see the DSI being recovered?

sorry for reply late, i had done the test after  remove the short on dsi data-lane:

1.follow the step as you suggestion 

2.only set the SOFT_RESET bit 

other info is after up both action ,i read the 0xE5 register is 0x31, if this means there is a error always happened at MIPI-DSI side ?

Once the short condition has been removed from the DSI input, did you write 0xFF to register 0xE5 to clear it and then read it? Are you still seeing any bits being set in register 0xE5?

once the short condition remove from the DSI 

1.write 0xFF to 0xE5 ,read the 0xE5 is 0x00 

2. try the step 

• Clear and then set the PLL_EN bit,
• Set the SOFT_RESET bit 

then read the 0xE5 is 0x01, but the display is not recovery 

Hi,

Before step 2, can you please probe the DSI interface and make sure the MIPI SoC is sending the clock in HS state and the DSI data lanes are driven to LP11 state first? 

If you are reading 0x01 from register 0xE5, this means the DSI830-Q1 PLL is unlocked, are you seeing the PLL being locked before you are shorting the DSI input?

i checked when the display works normally , read the 0xE5 is always 0x01, what will  cause PLL is unlocked?

PLL_UNLOCK default status is 1 , does it means unlock status should be 0?

Does register 0xE5 still read 0x01 after you clear 0xE5?

yes,after the system bring up normally , i read the 0xe5 is 0x01; does it means issue ?
