DS90UB948-Q1: The LVDS channel option when the device is configured as single-link OpenLDI output

Part Number: DS90UB948-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team,

According to 948's datasheet, we find that the pixels data will output D0-D3 when the device is configured as single-link OpenLDI output, is it ok for 948 to output pixels data on D4-D7? How can customer configure the output mode according to their thoughts?

Best regards

Ankang

  • Hi Ankang,

The choice of which FPD/OLDI configuration depends on customer's display resolution, PCLK frequency, TCON, and system design. The choice of OLDI config depends on what the TCON accepts as input ( OLDI data format, PCLK freq, lane mapping, etc.)

948 Doesn't support an OLDI config where data is outputted on D4-D7 while D0-D3 lanes are not used. If customer wants the pixel data to be outputted on D4-D7 instead of D0-D3 the pnly option is to configure 948 to single link OpenLDI replicate mode - in this mode D0-D3 and D4-D7 will output same data.

    Regards,
    Fadi A.
