Hi everyone,
I came across the following question DP83867E: MDI repeater with back to back SGMII connection - Interface forum - Interface - TI E2E support forums. 
I have an application that implement the PN: DP83869HMRGZR and I would like to know if with such PN the connection of two PHYs over SGMII could also work.

The block diagram of the desired application is detailed below. Both PHYs are configured to work in "SGMII-to-copper" mode. 

I also have seen that is required to disable the the auto-negotiation. It is really required?
If so, which one of the following mode for the straps should I choos?



The final application is to create an adapter for the existing products that only implement SGMII interfaces.
