TIOL112: TIOL112

Part Number: TIOL112

Tool/software:

Hello Support Team,

I would like to know if it is possible to use the TIOL 112 without NFAULT being received by the microcontroller in charge of the IO-Link communication. Is there any special recommendation for the configuration of the device in this particular case (e.g. termination of the NFAULT pin)?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

Marina

  • Hi Marina,

The NFAULT pin is not used as part of IO-Link communication and is only an indicator of fault conditions such as over-current, temp, or undervoltage.  It is a driven output pin that can be left unconnected if not used.

    Regards,
