Dear TI expert,
I have a quite similar design as https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/1212008/request-for-displayport-dp-to-embedded-displayport-edp-converter-ic-recommendation,
The LCD ( 15.6", 1920 x 1080, eDP1.2 , 2 lanes) is located a little far away (750mm) from the mini DP interface on source side , we are considering adding a repeater or retimer near LCD side to ensure the signal integrity.
do you have any recommendations ?
1. I observed the DP141/DP142 recommended in above link have 4 lanes , as the eDP LCD that we are using have only 2 lanes, do you have a type with 2 lanes that is more suitable for our use case ?
2. Which is preferred for our case , retimer or repeater ? if the former, does TI also have some options to recommend ?
