I want to utilize a MAC that only supports MII or RMII to connect to a SGMII as well as an RJ45 connector. Can the DP83869 accomplish this? I would like for it to buffer incoming 1G connections rather than force SGMII and the ethernet links down to 100M. Is this possible.

If possible please help me with configuration straps that would accomplish this.

    Hi Jacob,

    Thanks for reaching out. The PHY cannot bridge MII/RMII, SGMII, and RJ-45 MDI at the same time (3-way connection). This device is only validated to bridge RGMII to SGMII or SGMII/RGMII/MII to RJ-45.

    An SGMII to MII bridge mode has not been validated to work so I do not recommend making this connection through the DP83869. Unfortunately we do not have any products in our portfolio that can accomplish this.
