This is a short upate on our status.
Meanwhile the complete traffic path is operating, i.e after having connected the 10G-KR link partner Ethernet frames can be transmitted in both directions (LS/XAUI <-> HS/10G-KR). So far so good.
As not all channels (8 in total) on our 2 boards are free of errors, we are still about to debug this. At least 2 channels on one board are still having (very few) CRC errors on their LS side. We’ll try to find out if this is due to some remaining analog problems or if maybe the XO is relevant for this.
As we saw that with a correctly terminated/active 10G-KR side the XAUI bridge (LSA <-> LSB) is now more or less error-free too, we’d like you to comment on this. Is there an explanation why 10G-KR has influence on the XAUI bridge?
Without a link partner on the HS side the LS/XAUI bridge is not becoming error-free.
