The IBIS-AMI model downloaded from the website, does contain proper information Signal Integrity simulation using Redriver.

Please find the attached documents, where simulation section is missing the docoment.

Please provide a Time domain Simulation( EYE DIAGRAM) in the document along the topology having Driver, Receiver and Redriver.

You are not using ADS and this IBIS AMI simulation was designed for ADS. We provide a sample ADS simulation file in the IBIS AMI zip file as well.

You are using HyperLynx with this ADS file. This will not work.

Hi,

Is there any solution for this problem, because without Redriver model i will not able complete the simulation.

Need to see the behavior Transmission line. Kindly please suggest solution when we using other tool other than ADS.

And I am not using ADS file.

I just want IBIS-AMI Model which can support HyperLynx Tool.

Hi,

The IBIS AMI was generated using ADS, meaning that we can only guarantee operation with ADS. This is why we have provided an ADS example for reference. If you plan to use HyperLynx, then you will need to reach out to HyperLynx for interoperability issues.

Simulation is carried out using HyperLynx, With redriver but eye is closing.

Wanted to check on equalization settings used in the model. Is there any complete document on the simulation and equalization setting used.

Did HyperLynx support IBIS_AMI model? IBIS and IBIS_AMI are different model.

Other than the user guide, we don't have other document on the simulation and equalization setting.

Hi Brain,

Yes, I used IBIS-AMI Model for the Simulation.

In the User Guide there is only Equalization parameter available. But there no information on simulation carried out using IBIS-AMI model along with Equalization.

HyperLynx Excel script will support Redriver simulation using IBIS-AMI model.

Did HyperLynx support HSpice model? We have spice model for this device with more details.

Hi Brain,

Simulation is carried out ADS tool for same IBIS-AMI model, But we are getting some error in the model.

Kindly check on this.

tp use the example ADS but when I open the redriver AMI IBIS model this is the error I get.

ERROR: (deeditutil2.ael line 3859, column 12 in dm_form_get_label)
Parameter 1 of dm_form_get_label is NULL. Expected formDef.

Hi Haripriya

This model do has issue and we reported to dedign team, but not sure when we can get feedback due to design resource issue.

But we do have an alternative way to estimate if design is good or not.

below is the excel sheet, you need to select limited redriver sheet and key in the data rate and PCB trace length, it will give you the right EQ setting.
