TUSB8042A: Insertion Loss Reset and Loss Requirement

Tool/software:

  1. Whether the insertion loss can be reset after the packet pass through TUSB8042A.
  1. What is the insertion loss requirement for this chip.

 

 

For the #2, for usb3.2 gen1, since our topo is from hub to CPU, so it is different from the specification below. So do you have the il spec for this hub?

    yes, hub is retimer,  insertion loss can be reset after the packet pass through TUSB8042A.

    based on USB3 Gen1 spec, total loss between host to device is 20db, host side is 10db, device side is 2.5db, USB cable is 7.5db
