Im trying to make a switch and translator as shown in the below schematic.

During normal operation,

VIO_1V8 will be equal to VIO_1V8_PMIC.

During production programming of the PMIC, just once, the VIO_1V8_PMIC rail can be 1V8 or 3V3. And Enable pin is pulled low with a mosfet as an open drain configuration so the rest of the circuit will be disconnected on the I2C bus.

Do you see any problems with this circuit?

Also do you think LSF0002 is a better fit for this application?

This circuit will work. The LSF0002 would be easier to use.

Does LSF0002 support same voltages on both sides?

Hi Caner,

According to LSF0002 datasheet, yes.

I/O voltage is 0V to 5.5V. This would include 1.8V on both sides of the level translator.

Then I am coming up with a new circuit. Can you please confirm the following circuit? I need to disable the circuit when PMIC_PRG_EN is one. So, I'm using an inverter with 32mA capability. Would this work?

Also, as I stated before, VIO_1V8 will be equal to VIO_1V8_PMIC during normal operation. And VIO_1V8_PMIC can be 3V3 during programming. Side note, PMIC_I2C_SCL & SDA are pulled-up to VIO_1V8.

Remove C758. The VBIAS pin is not a power supply, and the capacitor would exceed the absolute maximum rating for the output current of the inverter.

Otherwise, looks OK.
