TCAN1044-Q1: The calculation of the differential input capacitance

Part Number: TCAN1044-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi Support Team,

To simulate the loads for 100 CAN bus nodes, I need to calculate the equivalent of input differential capacitances.

In the datasheet, there are two kinds of capacitance. One is input capacitance to ground 20pF and another is the differential capacitance 10pF.

so according to the calculation above,

The input capacitance to ground 20pF will end up as differential capacitance across CAN bus.  C1 = (20*20)/(20+20) = 10pF.

Do I have to add C1 to the differential input capacitance 10pF from datasheet ?  Total the differential input capacitance = 10pF + 10pF = 20pF. or Just use the differential input capacitance 10pF?

thanks,
