Its best to use a 40MHz clock for this application. The one sent is a 25MHz.

We do not have any drop in replacements picked out so you will have to find 3rd party parts that meet the TUSB9261 requirements.

Ok, then your BOM is wrong since the ECS-250-20-30B-TR is 25MHz..

Odd, Ill speak to the EVM designer to see why we used a 25MHz rather than the recommend 40MHz on the datasheet.

The FREQSEL[0:1] pins are able to customize the frequency of the PLL. This is why the EVM is able to use a 25MHz xtal. However, we do not recommend changing these values. In newer revisions of the datasheet we have removed details on changing the xtal frequency, and kept it at a a constant 40MHz. 

The demo board was designed and released when the TUSB9261 was released, and has not been updated with the datasheet revisions. This is why there is a mismatch in xtal frequency.
