Hi Ivy,

This could be multiple different factors. Maybe the reflow profile needs to be hotter peak temperature.

The oxidation could be other materials in the solder paste that is causing the metal of the IC to react in such a way.

Was the TCAL9539 properly placed by the pick and place machine? Looks like the solder welded to the bottom of the pin but did not encapsulate the pin or am I wrong here?

We observed and found that the unsoldered pins were oxidized, turning black and oxidized
Could you please confirm whether the pins in the attached picture have been oxidized

Hi Ivy,

I am not too familiar with determining if the pin is oxidized.

Is this only affecting one device, or many devices in the same reel? Is the supposed oxidation random or appearing in the same region?
