Can you explain to me how to configure the TUSB4020BI through OTP ROM? 
The application you sent seems to be a way to flash a external EEPROM. Currently we are not considering to use a EEPROM in our PCB
Another question is regarding SMBus configuring. During development we are planning to make configuration tests through SMBus and for Mass production, use the internal OTM ROM of TUSB4020BI. How can we configure the chip through SMBus? Is there a TI application for it?

Hi Henrique:

   OTP is done during TI ATE test with default configuration, I don't think we support customized OTP for customer.

   We do have tool for OTP manually with USB connection , but it just for debug purpose. 

   For mass production, it's better to use SMBUS or  external EEPROM.

The datasheet suggests that this OTP recording via USB would be possible for mass production:

If OTP is not a valid option, I don't understand why TI puts the information in the product datasheet, exposing the information to customers.

Could you please confirm that for sure? 

The problem with using SMBus mode for mass production is that the information is not persistent, meaning the configuration is lost when the Hub reboots. Our intention was to use SMBus for pre-mass production evaluations (R&D tests) and use OTP (if possible for mass production) or EEPROM if OTP is truly not possible (OTP/EEPROM offers persistant configuration flash)
