SN65DP159: Regarding HDMI Compliance Test Issues

Part Number: SN65DP159

Hello support team all.

My customer is currently conducting HDMI 1.4 compliance test and some of the test items are showing Fail. Can you help me to clear this issue?
Attached is the result report.

■ID7-2
Is improvement expected by changing the following items in the register settings?
VSWING_DATA: Data output swing control
VSWING_CLK: Clock Output Swing Control

■HF1-4
Although no effective countermeasures have been found at this time, the wiring lengths between the connector devices are as follows:
Could you please advise on what might be causing the problem?

D0_P 7.085280mm -
D0_N 7.085300mm -0.000020
D1_P 7.085280mm -
D1_N 7.085300mm -0.000020
D2_P 7.085280mm -
D2_N 7.085300mm -0.000020
CLK_P 7.085280mm -
CLK_N 7.085300mm -0.000020

  • Hi,

For the intra-pair skew failure on the CLK, do you have a common mode choke on it?

For VL failure, please tune the VSADJ resistor first. The VSDAJ tune both the VOD (Swing) and VL. As shown below, the lower VSADJ, the higher VOD but lower VL. The higher VSADJ, the lower VOD but higher VL. The goal is to find a VSADJ resistor value that can satisfy both the VOD and VL requirement.

On top of the VSADJ, you can further fine tune it using register 0x0C.

    Thanks

  • Hi David-san

Thank you for your prompt reply.

    I have obtained the schematics.
Would it be possible to ask you to review the circuit diagram?
However, I cannot publicly share the circuit diagram here. Would it be alright if I sent you a friend request?

    Best regards,

    Higa

  • Higa-san

Would you please accept my friendship request so you can send me the schematic in a private e2e message?

    Thanks
