ADS9219EVM: ADS92xx_EVM_GUI Program FPGA : Error in programing

Part Number: ADS9219EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TSWDC155EVM

Hello,

Need some help to fix this problem. Im using a ADS9219EVM with a TSWDC155EVM and after manually updating the sparrow driver i still get the error when trying to program the FPGA. I also trying resetting USB and trying programming again but that didnt help.

Seems that this was a problem before as pointed out here:

TSWDC155EVM: USb device driver problem - Windows 11

Can you let me know if this was ever fix or what else should i try?

Thanks,
Jose Berroteran

  • Hello Jose,

Would you be able to show me pictures of the error seen via the GUI?

    Just to make sure :

    For the TSWDC155

    • J5 should be in +2.5V mode (J5[1-2])
    • If using only USB-C then J2 should be in USB_PWR mode as well (J2[1-2])
    • there should be a few LEDs when connected to power
    • During bring up via the ADS9219EVM GUI after "Power Up" more LEDs should turn on

Does the error still occur after these mentioned steps have be taken/observed?

A debug step that is sometimes needed:

    1. Disconnecting the USB C/Power from the TSWDC155C for ~1min
    2. Restarting the GUI
    3. Once the GUI is fully loaded & USB C/Power has been reconnected to the TSWDC155C
      1. Open “Extras” Tab (last one in the “Controls” Section; might have to click on right arrow to find)
    4. Click “Reset USB” and wait for the “RESETTED” status update (picture below)
      1. Return to “CONFIG” tab
      2. Follow steps in User Guide
    5. Select device
    6. Initialize USB
    7. Program FPGA
    8. Initialize ADS92xx

      Best regards,

      Yolanda

    1. Hi Yolanda. Thanks for replying.

Moved jumper J2 to USB power position and it worked. It came out of the bag with J2 on the +5V position and didnt checked cause it says in the documentation the default position is USB power.

      Thanks again for your help

      Jose
