DS90UB954-Q1EVM: Communicating Issue with 933

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALP

Hi,

I am using 933 Serlizer Camera with my 954 EVM.

I can see that for the output I am getting

Horizontal : 3600 Bytes

Vertical: 300 lines

How I can make sure that I am getting this output as correct ?

And will appreciate if you have any script for 933 to test the output. Just FYI, I am getting a all green graph on Margin Analysis.

  • Hi Simar,

To confirm, are you only using one serializer connected to the UB954? I see both ports are enabled but only port 1 shows lock. An additional topic to note is the UB954 must be set to a back channel rate of 2.5Mbps when connected to the 913. This is set in register 0x58 on the deserializer and is a port specific register. To select the port, write to register 0x4C.

Built in to ALP, we will only be able to take a look at the line length and count received by the deserializer, along with lock stability to asses the video data. The line length will be returned in units of bytes which can be compared to the expected video data from your imager.

In order to display the video data, a SoC or CSI analyzer will be required to parse through the data from the UB954 EVM. The UB954 EVM outputs the data via the SAMTEC connector located on board which is pinout compatible to the AM62A family EVM devices.

    Best,

    Zoe
